Main Street

Madison County has one city, Oneida, and eight village centers: Chittenango, Cazenovia, Canastota, DeRuyters, Earlville, Hamilton, Morrisville, and Madison. These village centers are the perfect location for boutique retail, dining, galleries and office space.

The County is served by several chambers that focus on promoting their village retail and business community. These chambers include the Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Sullivan Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Canastota Chamber of Commerce, the Hamilton Business Alliance and the Morrisville Area Improvement Network (MAIN). While these chambers focus on their respective footprint, they do get together on an annual basis to network and work together on projects.

The Main Street districts of Cazenovia and Hamilton offer two examples of how mixed use, retail, business and dining along with residential has been very successful in this rural area.
